Old fashioned entertainment
I found it so refreshing, when I found my guests in pajama pants playing chess on my little 'table for 2' in the common area. I have a chessboard set which I optimistically leave set up, hoping that I put the king and queen on the right color spaces.
Well say what you will about 'the younger generation' and their obsession with cell phones, texting and what not, as this couple who were in their twenties left me a smile proving the naysayers wrong. I never asked who checkmated who, as it was taken very seriously! I wish Rachel and Jose well on their upcoming wedding in Baltimore. Chez Amis also has scrabble, rummicube, bananagrams, DVD collections and all sorts of playing card games for evening alternatives. Speaking of entertainment, mark your calendars for Little Women, The Musical, playing November 2011 at the Colonial Theater across the street from the Inn. Chez Amis also offers a theater and dinner package for your convenience. See our newly updated Travel Packages. And don't forget that chess game or scrabble in between all that other 'stuff' you have to do. In other words take time to relax.
