About the Room's Name
Our suite on the ground floor is named the Treaty of Paris Suite in honor of that significant treaty. On January 14, 1784, the Treaty of Paris was ratified by the Congress of the United States, while they met in the Senate Chamber of the Maryland State House which is just up the hill from the Inn. The Treaty formally ended the Revolutionary War and established the United States as a free and independent nation..
